Improving my FIFA Skills with Fiverr EA FC Coach Max

Coaching with EA FC Coach Max

I just got out of yet another 11-win Weekend League. It’s always the same, no matter if you start at 5:0 or 0:5 or somewhere in between. You always end up in the same rank. Is EA manipulating games? Am I really that bad? It’s just so frustrating. What can I do? So I decided to do something about it. Let’s get myself an EA FC 24  coach.

I was excited. I’m sure they’ll give me some tips to help me get better. Pretty easy, right? Well, I was wrong. I went on Google and searched EA FC Coaching. There were pages and pages of coaches offering EAFC coaching, but how do I decide? There was a signup process for each page. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a site that showed all the coaches at once?

Well, I went through the sites as best as I could. It took me a day or two to go through all the sites, but I finally felt confident picking one. I already have a Fiverr account, so I decided to stick with it. I chose EA FC coach Max, who is a former FIFA pro and now is part of the esports department of Eintracht Frankfurt. It’s a decent club and his coaching info seemed legit so I thought I’d give him a try. The price was 37.85 EUR, which isn’t the cheapest, but it’s not the most expensive either.

Once I ordered the service, Max and I corresponded a bit and eventually arranged a Discord call. We started the session by playing a match, which I lost badly. 5-0 at the end. Now I knew he could teach me something or two, or three, or four.

Well, afterward we went into the game analysis. I was pretty surprised. I had thought about a couple of weaknesses I had beforehand. But Max was able to point out simple things I need to work on easily

  • L1 passes
  • Don’t turn into the opponent in attack
  • Use Midfielder to defend
  • Small tips like using L2 after winning the ball, using ball roll and L1+R1
  • Get back into formation quickly in defense if there is chaos
  • Prepare 3 corner tactics because it’s easy to score

A very good list of things to work on and that I would never have thought of on my own. So I jumped into a couple of Rival games and worked on that. L1 trigger all the time, keeping the structure in defense, etc. until I got comfortable with it.

Going into the Weekend League, I was feeling pretty confident. I got off to a good start. More importantly, I was feeling good about my gameplay. I was creating more chances and felt like my defense was more stable.

Like for example in game 3. Seventy minutes into the game the scoreboard showed 3:3. Oftentimes I would get nervous and try something stupid. Not this time. Kickoff from the Goalkeeper to Davies. That’s when I remembered L1. I triggered the run from Davies by doing an L1 pass and got the Ball to Cafu. At that point, Davies was all alone on the other flank, just like Max had predicted so often in the sessions. A fully loaded cross and a couple of quick passes later I scored with Cantona. The game ended 4:3 and I thought “Thanks Max”.

Unfortunately, I ran into a 5 game-losing streak, resulting in me only getting 11 wins. So, I didn’t see any immediate improvement in my Rank, but I saw a lot of improvement in my gameplay. I feel like with a little more luck, I could have gotten to the next level.

If I keep working on the points my coach mentioned, I will surely improve my Rank in the Weekend League. Coaching was definitely worth it for me.
